Weekend is here

No more work today, day is all done. I haven’t made any plans this weekend and hope I don’t have to. The plan is to relax and try to get better. Been a bit under the weather this week, and just now started feeling a bit better. I was supposed to work tomorrow, but had to get someone to take that shift for me.. No way I could be outside for hours and still get better.
I’ve got work bright and early monday morning, and have to be fit for that. Maybe I can watch a movie or two and also try to get some personal stuff done.
Hellboy II: The golden army is on the TV now, but I’ve seen it allready so I’m not really watching. The movie is OK and all but I think it’s too much like the first and looks like it was made just to make a sequel. Read the rest of this entry »
Another day, another dollar and some movie stuff
Jan 19, 2010 Life, Personal, Reviews
Getting to the end of another day, and I’m beat. Seems I far more enjoy the days where there is stuff happening, as oposed to the days where nothing really happens. Tired? Yes, but on the days where there’s been lots to do it’s just so much better to crawl into bed with a great tired feeling.
Another day has passed
Got through another day, and it’s been an interesting day. Didn’t get home until about an hour ago, but got to visit my father which was a bit of a drive. He’s doing OK, but at age 70 surgery is hard.
Work was great as always, but I can’t really talk about it. Lets just say it was an interesting day, and it brought along events we don’t see to much of.
I just can’t manage to write about the two movies I wanted to share, but it’s coming!
For now I bid you a very good night and hope tomorrow brings just what you had in mind
Time flies far to fast

As you can probably tell, there hasn’t been any work done on this site since…forever.
I haven’t even had the time or desire to post anything in a long while. Thought I might change that today, and thus here’s a new post. I don’t really have anything to write about, so I’ll just run through some of the stuff in my mind lately.
What’s going on?

Haven’t posted in ages, so I guess it’s time to post a simple update..
I have been so busy working as of late, it’s quite remarkable. This means I have little to no time to spend with my (many) hobbies, but I thoroughly enjoy my job so I don’t mind.
One thing I have been able to keep up with is simple pyrotechnics. I’m still in the toddler stage, but it’s fun to see sparks (like you see in fireworks) that you’ve made from scratch.
As I’m writing this, I’m waiting on my last batch of homemade charcoal. I’ve used a few different types of wood trying to get a fast BP. Briquettes are a no-go (but I allready knew that). They’re ok for a BP rich in C for stars, but that’s about it. Used a few “softwoods” as well, but not satisfied by a longshot. The batch on the “stove” now is maple. Looking to be done in about an hour, so it’s ready for testing in the morning.
BP should be ball milled, but as I haven’t made my mill yet I’m stuck with the precipitation method (also called the CIA method). I’ve seen some pretty fast BP comps made using CIA, so I know it’s possible. Hardest part is to get good airfloat charcoal without the mill, but the grinder I’m using should get it quite fine.
Here’s a video I made of a homemade fuse I “cooked”:
Homemade fuse (on YouTube)
I also made a video tutorial of the fuse. If I get the fast BP I want tomorrow, I’ll make some dummy shells (fireworks with no innards) and hopefully some vids of them.
Hope I can remember and find the time to post more frequently.
Wow, long time no post
Several reasons for this, but I’m not going to post about that. Nothing new on the poker front, other than I’ve played almost nothing.
In accordance with advice I’ve been given, my sparetime has been spent fishing and hiking. No big trips yet, but enough to take the “noise” from days away.
I have a few images (sorry, poor quality cellphone-photos) in the post. Just click the “article”.
