Time flies far to fast

As you can probably tell, there hasn’t been any work done on this site since…forever.
I haven’t even had the time or desire to post anything in a long while. Thought I might change that today, and thus here’s a new post. I don’t really have anything to write about, so I’ll just run through some of the stuff in my mind lately.

Now, here’s the thing. Nothing really big has happened in my life since I last wrote. Don’t get me wrong.. There’s been some pretty serious stuff, but nothing I feel is appropriate to write about online. It’s just too personal and not really about me, so I feel it would be wrong of me to write about it.

In general I can write about what I’ve done, what I think about and such.
I guess it’s not a big secret among those who know me, that I basically have little to no social life. Much of my time revolves around my work and a computer/TV. I’m a geek, I know it and I’m actually quite proud of it. Why? Basically I’ve never really had to work to get through theoretical stuff. I graduated school (from elementary to high school and on) with great grades, without really having to open a book. I’ve always been interested in theoretical knowledge and books are a favorite of mine. Now that most things can be found online, it helps cut the cost of owning a huge library though.

I’ve always had a great fascination for science-fiction and futuristic stories if you will. Star Trek of course, Star Wars, Babylon 5, and the list goes on. Anything portraying the future as we might see it, has caught my interest. As I do spend far to much time watching TV, I catch a lot of different movies and shows. On that note I just have to mention a show: CBS’ The Big Bang Theory. This show is seriously the best thing I’ve seen on TV since…I can remember. It has all the aspects of a great show, and it just can’t stop producing great episodes. I don’t really know why I like it as much as I do, but I guess I can relate to the show more than anything else. I’m a nerd (obviously not nearly as smart as those guys), I’m socially inept, I’m a Comi-Con fan, etc etc. I can’t tell how great this show is. I suggest watching them sequentially from #1, but you’ll get a huge laugh no matter what.

Some time ago I registered a couple new domains, with specific ideas for each. Started work on one of the sites, but ran into a slump again. Lost interest and got a lot of other things to do. Ended with me “forgetting” the work in progress and they’re all still dormant. Both projects are really interesting (in my eyes) and deserves more attention. They’ll get it but I just can’t give a time line as to when they might be online.

Should get to bed real soon, as tomorrow is going to be a very long day. First a full days work, and right after I’m going to visit my father in the hospital. Was in surgery today to remove a spot on one of his lungs. Spoke to him a few hours ago and everything appears to have been a success.

I’ll try to write a new post tomorrow or the next day, depending on what time I have. A couple more things I want to write about, but not enough time today. Saw two movies lately, Avatar and G.I. Joe. G.I. Joe I had sort of forgot about until I got the DVD in the mail. Avatar is in theaters still, and as an avid Sci-Fi fan it was a must see.
