End of another week

This has been a curious week. I was anxiously waiting for the next episode of The big bang theory, but that was before I had checked to see the next airing 
No new episode this week, had to wait. As I couldn’t watch that, I remembered Legend of the seeker. I watched that show like a hawk during season one, but somehow lost track. Got caught up again now and the show delivers even more than the first season.
It didn’t take all week to catch up in episodes, but I’ve been watching a whole lot of make: magazine’s makers videos. Those videos and the site is such a great inspiration. My head is full of ideas after a few days of watching. I need to get a few of them down on paper!
One of the great things I came across (an idea I always wanted), was the Arduino. I’ve been a tinkerer (won’t presume to call myself a maker) for as long as I can remember. Micro controllers have fascinated me since the start, but I’ve always used and thought about the PIC micro. My first experiment with one was using the PIC16f84. Using the PIC was easy enough, but programming could be teadious.. I used a home-made programming board and it was OK. Now with the Arduino it’s easily connected to the computer and can inout/output just about anything you can think of. I have ordered one (along with a ProtoShield) but it’s shipped from Hong Kong so I have to wait about a week or two.
I’ll post some “sketches” and/or ideas for what I have in mind, as soon as I can get it to paper. For now I’ll send you in the direction of a few sites I visit very regularly:
